We are thrilled to announce that GeoScan Subsurface Surveys, Inc. has been acquired by T2 Utility Engineers, Inc. (T2ue), a Kiwa company.

This acquisition marks a significant milestone for both GeoScan and T2ue. T2ue identified GeoScan as a leader in the Western Canadian market and with the synergies between our companies, the merger is a natural fit. Together, we’ll be able to accomplish more than either could alone, expanding services and opportunities for both clients and employees.

Our leadership was extremely impressed by T2ue’s strong culture and reputation for excellence in the Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) field. As part of Kiwa, T2ue offers a long-term commitment to growing businesses through investment and strategic support. This alignment with Kiwa’s vision gave GeoScan’s ownership team the confidence that this acquisition would unlock significant new potential for GeoScan’s growth.

As we continue to operate as GeoScan Subsurface Surveys, we are excited about the future ahead and look forward to leveraging this partnership with T2ue to deliver even better solutions and services to our clients!

While GeoScan joins T2ue, the rapidly growing Xradar business will continue to operate throughout Canada—with offices in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, and Halifax—specializing in Concrete Scanning and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).

“I am enthusiastic about the benefits this merger provides for our clients and the GeoScan team,” said Will Meredith, owner of GeoRadar Group. “It is obvious in the synergies between GeoScan and T2ue’s core values that this will be a successful partnership. This will provide many opportunities for our staff at GeoScan to build their careers, and for our clients to receive the highest level of service possible in British Columbia.”

Matt Bourgeois, President of T2 Utility Engineers, Canada, added, “Acquiring GeoScan is not just a transaction; it’s an investment in the staff, the culture, and the joint desire to provide the best possible service to our clients. I’m excited to witness these two companies, each fueled by dedicated teams with the shared passion and vision of creating something extraordinary together. This strategic move aligns with our vision for growth and will enhance our capabilities in the market.”
