GeoScan completed a SUE mapping investigation at a popular ferry terminal in BC 2019 in order to determine and confirm the complexity of underground infrastructure within an approximately 87,000 square meter area.

Despite the cold winter weather, the terminal experienced heavy traffic daily whereby hundreds of vehicles would arrive and depart for their desired destination.
GeoScan technicians operated an efficient system to work around these peak traffic flows to ensure the project was completed within the clients desired time frame.
Upgrades of the current services and layout for the terminal requires a rigorous amount of pre-design planning to ensure that all groundwork occurs in the most efficient manner possible as any delays can have a knock-on effect for ferry commuters. Through the application of SUE our client was able to understand the challenges and possibilities of any proposed developments within the survey location.
